Spiders and Cocktails: Huntington (the Third)

So right after the wedding, I kicked out J’s slightly more interesting roommates to…somewhere. And by interesting I mean “I like their genes more, imagine being attached to a TS4 premade lmao” but I’m sure Marg could rehab J’s image too. They didn’t seem to have any romantic interests set up by MCCC so their fate remains undetermined.

J lovingly panicked for the birth of Sonora Cahill on his wedding night. He knew he’d have his chance with fathering a child, though I would have see how much patience I had for him to stick around.

It was a doozy.

One point gained for being a good step-dad, one point lost for the dumb hot weather wear.

Also around this time, he got a call that he had a daughter! I think with a repairwoman? Their daughter was named Imani but I lost track of her.

And with the power of daycare (which I actually love about this game, especially when I can’t sacrifice an extra adult/make a loving polyamorous triad to care for a baby in an open-world setup) J joined Partihaus with Margarita. In involved some grossness.

Especially for Marg (who gets a makeover for every marriage)

Those club points wouldn’t earn themselves. (Surprise, they do! Partihaus does a lot of autonomous partying when they gather)

Sonora quickly grew up, this time with a normal hair color. In my opinion she already looks a lot like George, very cute IMO.

And we got that maid service after all! They sent a woman for me to edit in CAS for Marg’s pleasure, if it came to that.

Though on her first day, Rachell Ricketts got only a heavy tip to remember Margarita by. And an invite to Partihaus (we expanded the membership quite a bit)

That was when J started sleeping outside on hot summer nights.

It wasn’t about Margarita at all. Work was stressful (his hours were ridiculous), more amenities started appearing outside like a sex bush (for peeing, Marg was very pregnant by that point), a grill, and benches to nap on. And his clothes got dirty, or so someone told him, so his winter wear was the only option.

Oh J, you’ll overheat any minute now. Unless the desert night cools down more.

“I hate it when you’re right, Barry!”

Wrong death! Kind of. It’s still unique for this challenge since we’re barely into it. But the death by overheating refused to register and summer is just so fleeting. I did get multiple notifications that he was not doing well though.

With the doors locked, Margarita and the kids watched in horror. Or none at all, she was numb to the idea of J dying, and the girls were very little.

“Curses, I was almost too late.”

Since Marg was racking up the aspiration points, she got a special drink for each of her widowings post-George. Unfortunately, the girls were not as happy and there was a baby inside of Marg that would never meet its dad.

He knew only the newest member of Partihaus, the married Bjorn Bjergsen.

Actually, Bjorn was reluctant in spite of Partihaus having a very loose view of relationships (MCCC married some of them off but no issue there). He would push away Margarita for kisses in spite of accepting some light flirting. He was a prickly bastard for, like, a day. And that’s an eternity to me.

“But please Bjorn? Why think about the kids, I’ve had children with other spouses too.”

“Wait, they’re not all George’s?”

“Jaaaaaade, Bjorn’s reaching into the trash again!”

Yes, Bjorn would dig through the trash whenever he was invited over. He should consider himself lucky to still be on the list.

But for what it’s worth, I complained about it. Not Marg.

“See, I can live with trash and trash-picking, Bjorn is just the sweetest lil sugar cube after all. And he’s not the only doctor who won’t scrub up before surgery. I’m so tired already.”

I think there was a thunderstorm outside.

“Eh, it’s nothing that’ll infect ya.”

Mauro Huntington III was safely delivered and cranky at the mess he was born into. Not at his home life, Bjorn was a stepfather to envy. But at the filthy doctor? Oh yes.

I’m still baffled!

After Mauro’s birth, Lucia and Sonora had a rare moment of not being left to auto-daycare. Plus I get to show off those cute footie pajamas toddlers have. The only thing I like more is that fox hoodie, you know the one. (I just like cute fox pajammies in general)

Before long it was Lucia’s time to grow up, with two toddler skills maxed to boot! Note the failed hamburger cake that the kids tore into before Margarita could put candles on it.

“So Bjorn is gonna die too?”

“Oh sugar, don’t ask those questions…”

“…I’m just living in the moment too.”

To the fate of Bjergsen ->
