Spiders and Cocktails: Bjergsen

After spending so much time in Windenburg, Margarita actually got to live there! Maybe it’s time to explain how I choose spouses, since the challenge wants you to “upgrade” with some of it maybe being up to interpretation. For example: the Goths are worth less than the Villereals, but I’d 100% get considering the Goths an upgrade due to their iconic status…if I actually understood that about them. I spent my early simming days deleting pre-made households and never was the same again. Something changed in TS3 but that is a longer story for a longer day.

My first six spouses turned out to be career-only upgrades, with Bjorn handily beating J by being at level 3 of his career. We put it into overdrive later. Bjorn had a great house at least, on the island and worth over $150k.

And them both being Partihaus members meant a nightclub wedding, to Lucia’s dismay.

Sorry for not lightening my pictures! Most guests had a good time, even the maid that Marg was flirting with. It turned out to cause zero issues.

Let’s just say that Bjorn could not care less.

In any direction! I was keeping a close eye on Baako for reasons unknown to him…with that cramped apartment?

Though if you had to ask Bjorn, his true love was always Marg at the end of the day. And she was good at lying to him.

Bjorn is actually a very sweet sim. He would stop and think about any of his three kids a lot (he and Clara had a third right before this) and mostly kept the house as a memorial to them…as if they died. Clara remarried and lived in Willow Creek.

Well, he kept it as a memorial until it came time to try for baby in his daughters’ old closet.

Or the shower. Get a grip, guys! Mauro is not gonna be an object baby forever.

Also there was no reaction to Lucia walking in, which was disturbing but hilarious. She really did get over herself after the wedding.

Her new stepfather had a playground in the yard, after all. She even started making friends at school, with little Evie Delgato coming over for playdates every goddamn day it seemed. Not to nicely, Lucia got an invitation to join the Paragons. Wearing enough pink to make me very angry, she gladly accepted.

It’s just her style.

She also rolled Cat Lover as her child trait, which I was hoping to please with an adopted cat. It got stuck in this carrier and never got added to the household. For shame!

“Mum, are these the voices telling you to kill my stepdads?”

The fruitcake kept their wrath at bay. And Lucia would have to justify her mother’s actions at a different time, at an older age maybe.

Besides, her and her friends were very cool and the dinner parties were spectacular. Even the Paragons would be impressed!

It’s probably worth noting that Marg found out she was pregnant too, if that wasn’t obvious.

And we would get fewer hints about the person Sonora would grow up to be. A glutton? Well, Marg was becoming a great cook. She even cooked some special pancakes for her husband, which I thought was my ticket to ending this marriage.

Bjorn was feeling playful…and very playful. He would even be hysterical for a moment, only for it to fade away in a flash. He’d watch comedies and the good episodes of Saturday Night Live, joke in the mirror, eat silly pancakes, take a bubble bath, buy a cool lamp that I got because I bought Island Paradise for TS3 in the long ago…

…nothing? I was warned about this. There is one emotional death that’s easy to pull off but death by hysterical laughter was going to be tricky.

Have fun swimming, Bjorn.

“…and that’s the fifth drowning at this cursed house.”

Marg and Sonora watched in horror. Sonora was well-loved by Bjorn, and Marg was hoping so hard to save drowning as a death for later. Two plans foiled already!

I somehow missed getting screenshots of Margarita’s fourth baby, Luis, being born. Well he was with no real stories to tell about it. I think it was right after Sonora aged up (like Marg went into labor -> I took Sonora to the cake -> she gave birth at the hospital alone because I couldn’t be bothered)

No pregnancy and cheap daycare meant more time at the club! Jade wasn’t about to ask any questions, though she was about to get pregnant with Paolo’s baby (before he married Raj Rasoya…I’m so proud of them!)

The club continued to party on, giving Marg another completed aspiration with Leader of the Pack (Bjorn also helped her with Soulmate). We added a new member too, though anyone in the Partihaus household was going to be a good potential spouse. And I have no qualms about staying in Windenburg, it may be my favorite town in the game after all these EPs.

Unlike most of them, it has a library and that’s all Sonora needed apparently. Artistic Prodigy used to be my “easiest child aspiration” aspiration but I forgot what the “play with three toys” goal meant. It doesn’t seem like the different toys in the toybox count so I completed that easy goal on Sonora’s last day as a child or something ridiculous like that.

Lucia had a better time with Rambunctious Scamp.

Meanwhile, Marg was living it up visiting my other favorite town, San Myshuno. The Humor and Hijinks festival would not let her set off fireworks (so much for City Native, sigh) but jokes were had, even with her future fourth spouse.

Huh?

Marg gave everyone the good news! Or just enjoyed a banh mi.

Noted critic Diego Lobo had nothing bad to say about her, after all.
